The widespread use of modern loading and unloading equipment such as forklifts has greatly reduced the number of rough handling operations. Tray as a symbol of modern logistics has also become an important part of corporate packaging, although it does not pass directly to consumers.
Environmental protection is also a development trend. Bulk packaging in China is still using EPS in large quantities and does not meet the requirements of environmental protection, especially in the packaging of exported goods, which may incur serious consequences. Take color TV as an example, every year China needs to consume about 30,000 tons of EPS foam plastic. Converted to a volume of about 1.2 million cubic meters, it is conceivable that the amount of EPS consumed by the entire household appliance industry is astonishing.
China's home appliance products have achieved certain results in actively promoting the use of new environmentally-friendly paper cushioning packaging materials such as pulp molding and honeycomb paperboard, especially in mobile phones, telephones, fax machines, printers, electronic keyboards, etc., which are small in size and light in weight. In electronic information products, pulp molded products are used instead of EPS as cushioning materials; some exported electronic machine tools and household appliances also use honeycomb paperboard instead of wood to make trays and crates. However, some problems have also been encountered in the promotion and application. The use situation is not optimistic. The main reason is that the pulp molding product itself has problems: poor resilience, structural design, mold design, and production and processing capabilities are far from meeting the needs of electronic information product packaging, especially large-scale household appliances. Some of the more advanced foreign countries such as laser cutting and forming multilayer paper cushioning products have not yet appeared in China. Although there are many types of new types of cushioning products developed in China, most of them have such defects, and it is difficult to enter actual factory production. How to find the ideal alternative material in buffer packaging is still a rather serious problem.
Transparent packaging into a new favorite
The disadvantages of traditional carton packaging are: 1. Do not see the inside of the product; 2. If improper handling during transportation, prone to damage; 3. After the damp easily deformed; 4. Wasting costs; 5. Inconvenient handling of packaging materials; 6. The packaging materials used have a negative impact on the protection of the ecological environment.
The advantages of shrink film packaging: 1. Can always see the product, which will reduce the damage in transportation; 2. Use MSK's special packaging technology to reduce the cost of packaging materials; 3. Significantly reduce the storage cost of packaging materials. Because the main packaging material becomes a thin film roll that occupies little area; 4. Problems with the packaging of home appliances
In terms of packaging structure design, some packaging is not yet reasonable. In particular, integrated cartons are still widely used, which wastes materials and does not achieve optimal protection.
In addition, there are few considerations for home appliance manufacturers to make adjustments to packaging under different climatic conditions. For example, the dry areas in the north and the rainy areas in the south have very different moisture-proof requirements for packaging. At present, large-scale household appliances in China are uniformly monotonous in outer packaging, with almost no moisture-proof and rain-proof functions, and they are completely unchanged, resulting in a wet climate. The lower part of the box becomes softer due to moisture, and the protection performance is greatly reduced. This situation is more serious in the export of household appliances packaging. In addition, in terms of the use of paper for packaging boxes, some companies have unilaterally emphasized reducing costs and the quality of paper cannot be guaranteed. The carton does not reach the strength it should have. When the household appliance reaches the consumer, the carton has been damaged.
Wooden pallets are still in heavy use. Taking the packaging of two picture tubes and color television sets as examples, according to incomplete statistics, the annual disposable tray consumes about 100,000 cubic meters of wood (including disposable glass trays for glass bulbs). Although all kinds of plastic trays, steel trays, and honeycomb plate made of pistol trays are used, they are not ideal. The former two are mainly influenced by price factors. The latter is due to poor production technology and overall molding technology in the production of pallets, packaging boxes and other products, and the automation level of the production line is low. In particular, the molding production process is almost manual operation. As a result, it is difficult for the honeycomb products to achieve standardization and serialization, thereby affecting the operation support of the entire production line on the assembly line.
Honeycomb paperboard and pulp molded articles also have the problem of poor water and moisture resistance. After prolonged transport, especially under high humidity conditions, the strength of the box and tray after the dampening weakened, and they could not withstand the impact and sway, resulting in damage.
