In order to obtain qualified hot-filled bottles, the stability of the processing process is very important, even if the smallest process fluctuations will affect the quality of the bottle. The temperature of the preform, the materials used, the blowing process and the cooling process are all crucial.
On the equipment side, the difference between the blowing unit and the preform mandrel must be minimized. In addition, mold heating and oven control must also be very strict.
In the Nongfu Spring factory, there is something very special and it is rare in Asian beverage factories. That is, the bottle mouth diameter is 38-mm , and there is no crystallization bottleneck. To successfully process this type of bottle, there must be specially designed processing equipment. “The Contiform H 16s is the perfect equipment used by Nongfu Spring. Hot-fill bottle blowing equipment: heating and cooling
The two Contiform H 16s in Danjiangkou adopt an on-line preform processing mode. The formed preforms are sent to an infrared oven for heating. The maximum temperature is up to 120 °C. This temperature is closest to the crystallization temperature of the plastic, and it also avoids shrinking the bottle. Deformed internal stress.
The blowing temperature is about 130-160 °C. Through the release of the mold, the preform reaches the optimal crystallization temperature, and almost all of the internal stress is eliminated. The key to this process is that the time of contact with the mold is well controlled.
In order to avoid deformation of the bottle during mold release, cooling must be used. Here is used a way of inflation, high-temperature compressed air blowing from the hollow rod, selectively reduce the temperature of certain parts of the bottle.

After filling the bottle, the filling volume is checked by Checkmat before leaving the filling chamber to check for excess or under-provision. After this process is completed, the bottles are cooled by the Krones cooling device to approximately 40 °C for subsequent labelling.
Nongfu Spring used the Contiroll label. For hot-filled PET bottles, the ring mark is not the most commonly used, but the ring mark has its own advantages. Although the feel of the sleeve label is good, if the contraction process is uneven, the overall effect will be affected. The ring mark will not have this problem.
