Turck new generation WD series uprox + inductive sensor (IP68 + 69K) come out

Whether dairy products, breweries, bread and frozen food plants, or packaging and filling applications in the food industry, even rolling processes that require long-term emulsion washing, a new generation of uprox+ inductive sensors can be used in production. Demand provides a complete solution. Utilizing its unique performance to complete the optimization of the system process can significantly reduce input costs and reduce overall costs!

Due to the sensor's housing material resistance to cleaning agents and disinfectants, excellent housing sealing and high EMC characteristics, the new uprox+ sensor WD series (WD = wash-down) provides the high degree of protection required for outstanding system stability. . Even in the harsh food manufacturing and processing industries.

In many industrial fields, systems and devices are often exposed to long-term rinsing processes, placing high demands on field devices used in the field. The food and beverage industry is a typical example of exposure to demanding production processes. Here is the device for daily high temperature (80°C or higher) cleaning and disinfection and chemical cleaning reagents used under high pressure conditions. This is the only way to ensure that the system can be produced and packaged sterilely and hygienically.

The new generation of WD series inductive sensors is an uprox+ sensor designed for applications in the food and beverage industry as well as harsh heavy industrial environments such as rolling mills. This series uses multi-coil technology and a patented coil arrangement just like the standard uprox+ sensor. The coil also uses printed circuit board technology and uses a new type of dedicated integrated circuit. Thus, the WD series also has an uprox+ sensor: all-metal detection Factor 1 features; great switching distances; high-grade EMC characteristics; extremely high immunity to magnetic fields and flexible mounting methods. New types of housing materials such as stainless steel 1.4404 and LCP are also used. These new materials can significantly resist the cleaning agents and disinfectants encountered in the above applications. The suitability of the new series of sensors for the food industry has been well verified by the Henkel Ecolab independent laboratory.

At present, WD series uprox+ sensors can provide different shell types such as M12, M18 and M30. According to DIN 40050-9 and EN 60529 standards, in conjunction with the connectors of the FB series, the sensor can be protected up to IP69K, thus ensuring the reliable operation of the control system and the hygienic requirements required by the relevant industries. Stainless steel connectors (VA4-1.4404) and PVC clamps and wires make these connectors the ideal addition to the uprox®+WD sensor in the food and beverage industry.

At the same time Turck can provide IP69K protection grade V4A stainless steel connection module to supplement the field connection. In this way, signals can be collected directly in the field and transmitted to the controller via a single stranded multi-core cable, with LED indications to provide convenient diagnostics in the field.

If the application does not require the use of stainless steel, the uprox®+WD sensor can be used with the new Fixcon® connector. Fastcon® connectors built on the basis of actual quick connections reduce sensor and actuator connection time. The connection between the sensor and the actuator does not require much time: Simple plugging and unplugging, fast tightening guarantees protection to IP69K. More convenient is: no need to screw joints. Fixcon® and uprox®+WD are the ideal combination for all high pressure applications.
