Several problems that are prone to errors before printing

Consequences: Most of the software (Freehand, Pagemaker, etc.) will not separate the RGB image. If the RGB image is misused, the color separation film that comes out of it will only have a map on the black version, and the rest of the color image will be empty. Or there are equivalent grayscales on the four color plates.

Solution: If your scanner supports direct-scan CYMK, it is best to scan directly into a four-color file; if you can only get RGB, you must not forget to convert RGB to CYMK before output. It is difficult to see whether it is RGB or CYMK from the file name or file icon. It is too much trouble to open them one by one. For TIFF images, you can make judgments by observing the preview color of images from layout or imposition software: CYMK's TIFF image preview is more vivid and unnatural, and RGB is a more natural color. As for the EPS chart, it is difficult to distinguish from the preview, and one can only check one by one without worrying.

Freehand fonts use Heavy (emphasis), Pagemaker fonts use Bold (bold)

Consequences: If FreeHand's Chinese font uses Heavy, most cases will be ambiguous; in PageMaker's Chinese font Bold, it must be a toothed overlapped word, and other font effects in PageMaker will also be Problems.

Solution: Try to avoid using the above effect. If the font needs to be bold, the corresponding bold Chinese characters should be used, such as thick Song type or bold type. In fact, there is no corresponding bold type, you can use Fill and Stroke in FreeHand, but there is an empirical formula that the added word edge can not exceed 3% of the size of the original font size. If the font itself is bold, the proportion should be smaller.

FreeHand uses wrong Fill and Stroke

Consequences: Use Fill and Stroke to make fonts bold, or to make words with different colors. However, improper use can result in stencils, or the edges are too thick, and the colors of the characters themselves are crushed.

Solution: The word edge cannot exceed 3% of the size of the original font size.

There are gray nets on black stamping

Consequences: Tell the output center that the black version needs to pay attention to whether there is any gray network in the file before it is imprinted. Because if there is a gray net, objects under the grey net will pass through. Other imprints specified in the document should also be noted because the current version of the software does not see which objects were imprinted.

Solution: Be careful when you work, never fall into a trap.

Tip: When defining grey, add 1% yellow!

Misuse of EPS with net

Consequences: The output of line 175, but some lines are wrong.

Solution: Be careful not to choose to include screening information when saving images in EPS format. At the same time, other options must be noted. In some cases, special functions can be implemented by using EPS network functions, such as line network effects or intentionally using different network lines in the same layout to achieve special effects.

Tip: The image is stored in the EPS color separation format, which can greatly increase the output speed.

Misuse of DCS format

Consequences: 1. Black and white prints have graphs, but there are no figures on the output.

Misuse of JPEG compression format

Consequences: There is an image on the screen and the output is missing

Solution: In photoshop, re-store the TIFF or EPS format and return to PAGEMAKER to re-link.

The big picture is reduced to thumbnails and spaces are used in paragraph headers and spaces are used in the table.

Consequences: After looking at the output of the text or the form on the screen, it will not be abandoned.

Solution: Zooming graphics is very convenient in typesetting software, but the cost is multiple or several times the output time, so be sure to set the size and resolution in the image processing software (Photoshop), and then put the typesetting software; and the form With PAGEMAKER or QuarkXPree,

The software itself has a good indentation and positioning function, and can make professional and neat forms. As for paragraph headers, they should be set in a row.

Without English font

Consequence: The output font is replaced by the system font, go back and take a look

Solution: The English font used by the computer now exceeds 10,000, so don't expect the output center to have English characters that you use. So call and output center to confirm, if there is no output center, then you have to bring fonts to the output center.

Misuse of "PATTERN"

Consequences: There is a pattern fill in FREEHAND that fills a regular pattern with a regular pattern. This type of pattern is latticed. The LEVEII RIP's imagesetters that were previously equipped do not support this filled output. The LEVEII II imagesetter can output. But one thing to note is that you can't set colors outside the field for it. If you try to set a light color of c10%y10%, although it is displayed on the screen, the output must be cy 100% dark green!
