(1) Cutting of ring lining. If the original paper has a significant thread direction, it should be ensured that the direction of the ring liner after splitting is parallel to the narrow side of the book. The base paper is straight silk paper, and only four can be made. Of course, other sizes of base paper can also be used to improve paper utilization.
(2) Cutting of fabric. First of all, we must determine the size of the fabric used in a book. The reference formula is as follows.
Fabric height (longitudinal) = format size height + 3mm (floating mouth) + 2mm (cardboard thickness) + 13mm (fabric hemming) × 2
The width of the fabric (horizontal) = book thickness (book thickness at round back × 1.15) + 2mm (board thickness) × 2+ [format size width + 6mm (book slot) + 3mm (float) + 2mm (board thickness) + 13mm (fabric hemming)] × 2
Assuming that the size of the format is 260mm × 186mm, the thickness of the book is 30mm, and the back is round, according to the above formula, the amount of fabric for one book can be calculated.
Fabric height = 260 + （3 + 2 + 13） × 2 = 296 （mm）
Fabric width = 30 × 1.15 + 4 + (186 + 6 + 3 + 2 + 13) × 2 = 459 (mm)
Therefore, the size of a hardcover book is 296mm × 459mm
Assuming that the width of the fabric provided by the customer is 1000mm and the length of each roll is 100m, the best cutting method is to first cut the roll material into a flat sheet of 1000mm × 900mm, and one sheet can open 6 copies, and each roll can output 6 × 100 / 0.9 = 666 (this).
It should be pointed out that for some details, it is necessary to analyze the layout in detail.
â‘ If the utilization rate of the fabric used is low, you can consider replacing other specifications.
â‘¡If there are wrinkles in some materials in the whole roll of fabric, the size of this department should be subtracted from the total size.
â‘¢If there are joints in the whole roll of fabric, the cost should be reduced according to the actual situation.
â‘£If the fabrics are of different thickness, uneven coating, open bottom and other problems, you should reduce the size or change the material.

(3) Cutting of small materials such as caulking cloth.
