Precision Additive Additives

U.S. Process Control Corporation has introduced a new AFV Series Volumetric Additive Additive for direct injection of concentrated color or other additive materials into the material fluid at the feed port of an extruder or injection molding machine. The centrally mounted adapter can adjust up to four feeders for the introduction of colorants or additives into a single processing machine. The AFV series is an easy-to-operate feeder that provides plastic processors with unprecedented precision and cost savings.

Standard features include a fixed-pitch horizontal auger with a 0.25-horsepower variable-speed AC gear motor. When pigments or other additives added to the pure or pure/recycled material enter the machine inlet, the auger will Make accurate measurements. The digital controller can be configured for local manual speed control, synchronized with the extruder speed. Other standard features include a sample port for feeder calibration, a transparent window on both sides, and an ejection port that is easy to clean and quickly reload. The hopper lid can be set up for manual loading, or equipped for vacuum type feeders. The AFV feeder options include a 0.5 hp gear motor that can be used for recyclable materials such as hard-to-flow materials, stainless steel construction, and High temperature variables of the dried material are required before processing.
