Correct use of barcode scanners

How to use the barcode scanner correctly?

1) First make sure that the scanner, data cable, data receiving host and power supply are properly connected and turned on.

2) Press and hold the trigger button, the light is activated, and the red illumination area and the red focus line appear.

3) Align the red focus line with the bar code center, move the scanner and adjust the distance between it and the bar code to find the best reading distance.

4) When the success prompts the sound and the red illumination line goes out, the reading is successful, and the scanner transmits the decoded data to the host.

Scanner installation method

1) Insert the data cable: Connect the crystal head of the data cable to the bottom interface of the scanner. Note: If you insert it, you can directly pull it out, indicating that it is not inserted, because it cannot be directly pulled out after plugging in.

2) Connect the computer: The scanner usually has 3 interfaces, and the USB interface is commonly used. When connecting to the computer, insert the scanner data cable socket into the corresponding interface of the computer, and wait until the computer automatically installs the driver.

3) Take the line method: Insert a small pin into the thread take-up hole, squeeze it slightly and then pull out the data line.

Scanner use precautions:

1) Scanner and bar code cannot be scanned at 90°, and bar code cannot be read normally at 90°. Must be aligned and the scan line is fully covered by the barcode.

2) Do not randomly scan the barcode on the manual, otherwise the scanner may not be scanned.

3) During the reading process, for the bar code of the same batch, you will find that the distance between the scanner and the bar code is within a certain range, and the reading success rate will be very high. This distance is the best reading distance.

Scan gun common troubleshooting:

If the scanner does not work properly, please check the following:

1) Check if the data cable is properly connected to the host, including whether the data cable is securely connected and whether the original data cable is used.

2) Check that the barcode label is of good quality and the scanner may not be able to read the wrinkled or stained barcode label.

3) Check if the bar code type read by the scanner is turned on. If it is not turned on, please open the bar code.
