Coca Cola beverage bottle label will change material

Coca-Cola China disclosed on the 8th that the full range of products sold in mainland China will completely disable PVC beverage bottle labels and replace them with new environmentally friendly non-PVC film labels.

PVC is considered to be prone to poisonous and harmful substances. First, single-molecule vinyl chloride that has not been completely polymerized in the production process, and second, harmful substances in plasticizers. These two substances are easily released when they are exposed to high temperatures and oils. Toxins enter the body and are easily carcinogenic.

It is understood that at present, most beverage bottle labels sold in the Chinese mainland market use PVC Material instead of PET material for beverage bottles. Coca-Cola China stated that it hopes more companies will focus on packaging innovation and environmental protection, and jointly promote the sustainable development of the entire beverage industry.
