The professional and technical personnel in the packaging industry accounted for only about 2% of the total number of employees, far below the average level of 6% in other industrial sectors. After China's accession to the WTO, with the dramatic increase in China's product exports, the packaging industry must be bigger and stronger. The talent shortage is becoming more prominent. Packaging education, scientific research departments urgently need high-level packaging engineering professionals

At present, there are nearly 40 universities in China that offer packaging engineering, and currently there are 53 packaging scientific research institutions. Due to historical reasons, among the teachers who are engaged in packaging education, those who are older are all diverted. Young people are nothing less than undergraduate graduates with a lower academic qualification in packaging engineering, or masters graduated from other majors. Doctoral student. The personnel engaged in packaging and scientific research are basically the same. According to the requirements of the Ministry of Education, the introduction of teachers in ordinary colleges and universities should have a master's degree or above. For many years, because the packaging engineering profession cannot justify the cultivation of its own graduate students, the teachers of this speciality can only be trained by other majors that have the qualifications of enrolling graduate students.
