According to epidemiological data, there are about 3 million new cases of ischemic mild cerebrovascular disease in China every year. Because the clinical symptoms are mild, they are easily overlooked by patients, family members and doctors. Even after the doctor discovers, they only let patients take aspirin Take control. The question of what kind of treatment plan is most effective at this stage and how much stroke can be prevented is not solved. The international cerebrovascular disease guidelines also have no clear guidelines.
This study was led by experts in the field of cerebrovascular diseases in the top ten diseases of the capital, and Professor Wang Yongjun, the Beijing Tiantan Hospital of the Capital Medical University, served as the lead. 114 medical institutions from 17 provinces and cities across the country took 5 years to collaborate and conducted the world's largest multi-center , Randomized, double-blind, double-simulated, parallel-controlled small stroke and transient ischemic attack (TIA) clinical study. A rigorous research plan was designed and implemented for this issue. At present, the research results prove that patients taking aspirin and clopidogrel at this stage are superior to aspirin alone.
The 90-day recurrence rate of patients with ischemic mild cerebrovascular disease is as high as 10% -20%. If patients with ischemic mild cerebrovascular disease are treated with clopidogrel and aspirin in the early stage, at least 100,000 cases of recurrent strokes can be reduced every year. Calculating the medical cost of direct hospitalization for each stroke patient is about 25,000 yuan, which can save China's annual direct hospitalization medical cost by about 2.5 billion yuan.
