British developed a scaleless PH sensor

Researchers at the University of Oxford in the United Kingdom are working to reform the most common scientific measurement parameters PH, eliminating the need for calibration. In particular, traditional glass electrodes require trained personnel to continuously recalculate them with expensive buffers, require careful and moderate storage, and break easily. Many recent developments such as solid-state sensors and optical staining systems have serious limitations, including limited pH measurement range and low sensitivity. PH measurement is one of the most commonly used analysis indexes for processing control in the food and pharmaceutical industries. It is estimated that in 2002, the market for PH value measuring instruments, including replacement sensor orders, will have a revenue of 500 million U.S. dollars.
